(ORAL) Petition herein, inter alia, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus for directing respondents to grant parole to the petitioner. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner had applied for grant of privilege of parole on 16/20.03.2023 and also sent a reminder dated 14.11.2023 (Annexure P-1) to the concerned authority, but the same has not been adverted to by the respondents till date.

On the other hand, on advance service of copy of petition, learned State counsel submits that grievance of the petitioner will be looked into by concerned authority/ respondent No.2 and it shall take decision either way, on the pending application dated 16/ 20.03.2023 and reminder dated 14.11.2023 (Annexure P-1) of the petitioner regarding grant of privilege of parole. 4.
At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner also seeks a decision on the pending application/ reminder, as suggested by learned State counsel. 5.
Without commenting on the merits of the case and considering the relief sought for herein, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to consider application dated 16/20.03.2023 and reminder dated 14.11.2023 (Annexure P-1) of the petitioner and pass an appropriate order, in accordance with MAHAVIR SINGH 2024.01.19 14:52 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/ judgment Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh
