**** NIDHI GUPTA, J. (Oral) Prayer in the present petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for quashing of FIR No. 156 dated 11.06.2019 registered under Sections 306 and 34 IPC, at Police Station Sadar Dhuri, District Sangrur (Annexure P-1) and subsequent proceedings arising therefrom. There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner for the last two dates of hearing i.e. 10.03.2022 and 17.08.2023. Even today, none appeared on behalf of the petitioner. As such, this Court is inclined to dismiss the present matter for non-prosecution. Even on merits, learned counsel for the State, on instructions from ASI Gurmaol Singh, has informed that the petitioner before this Court is mother-in-law of the deceased. The complainant/respondent No.2 is father of the deceased. The date of marriage of the deceased was 22.06.2018 and date of occurrence was 11.06.2019 i.e. within one year of DIVYANSHI 2024.08.09 17:16 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRM-M-2627-2021 (O&M) -2 - marriage. The cause of death of the deceased was that she had shot herself in the head. Learned counsel for the State has further informed that the trial is at an advanced stage and out of 19 prosecution witnesses; 6 witnesses stand examined.

Keeping in view the facts as noticed above, the present petition stands dismissed for non-prosecution as well as on merits. Pending application, if any, stands disposed of.
