The petitioner prays for grant of pre-arrest bail in a criminal case arising from the FIR No. 193 dated 10.09.2021, registered under Section 406 & 420 IPC and Section 13 of the Punjab Travel Professionals (Regulation) Act, 2014, at Police Station Rama Mandi, District Jalandhar. 2.

As per the case of the prosecution, the first informant has been duped of ₹ 16,00,000/- on the false assurance of the accused who promised to help him to shift to Canada. The petitioner claims that he received the amount on behalf of his friend Satinder, which was, later on, transferred, as per his direction. The learned counsel representing the petitioner contends that the petitioner has, bonafidely, received the amount without knowing the purpose for which the payment was being made. 3.

Criminal Misc. No. M- 2310 of 2022 ₹16,00,000/- and gave his own self-attested copy of the Aadhar Card. In the State of Punjab, there are large number of incidents where the fake travel agents dupe the rustic villagers of their valuable money, while falsely assuring to help these gullible villagers to illegally migrate to the foreign lands.

Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, it is necessary to unearth the entire racket. Hence, no ground to grant the concession of pre-arrest bail to the petitioner is made out. Consequently, the present petition is dismissed. (Anil Kshetarpal) Judge January 21, 2022 "DK"
