Advocate General, Punjab. **** SHEEL NAGU, CHIEF JUSTICE (Oral) The petitioner is before this Court for grant of regular bail through this second application after the earlier one dismissed as withdrawn on 22.08.2023 without being considered on-merits. 2.

The allegation against the petitioner is of recovery of 260 grams of Heroine which is more than commercial quantity. The only ground taken for grant of regular bail is of delayed trial. 3.

Learned State counsel informs that petitioner is in custody since 21.07.2022. The charges against the petitioner-accused were framed on 12.01.2023 and out of total 12 prosecution witnesses, six witnesses have been examined.

It is not known as to whether the principal witnesses have been examined or not as none of the statements of the prosecution witnesses have been placed on record by the petitioner. 5.

In view of the above, the petitioner is granted liberty to revisit the Court after filing the statements of the principal witnesses. For the time being, the petition stands dismissed with the aforesaid liberty.
