Petitioner seeks grant of regular bail under Section 439 Cr.P.C in his sixth attempt in case bearing FIR No.09 dated 30.01.2017 registered under Sections 302/34 IPC at Police Station Machhiwara, Police District Khanna, District Ludhiana. On 28.04.2021 while dismissing fifth application for grant of regular bail, this Court has noticed that out of 22 prosecution witnesses, 18 witnesses have already been examined after acceptance of an application under Section 311 Cr.P.C.

   Today, learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Harvinder Singh submits that 19 prosecution witnesses have already been examined and there is every likelihood of completing prosecution witnesses either on the date fixed or soon thereafter.
