**** RAJ MOHAN SINGH, J. (Oral) The case has been taken up for hearing through videoconferencing. Petitioner seeks grant of anticipatory bail under Section 438 Cr.P.C in case bearing FIR No.145 dated 21.12.2020 registered under Sections 61/1/14 of the Punjab Excise Act, at Police Station Chhajali, District Sangrur, Punjab. Notice of motion was issued on 21.01.2021 and arrest of the petitioner was stayed on the premise that petitioner was nominated on the basis of disclosure statement of Jaspal who was arrested with 40 bags i.e. 480 bottles of countrymade liquor. As per disclosure statement of Jaspal, the alleged liquor was purchased from the petitioner. Thereafter, vide order dated 22.03.2021, petitioner was directed to join the investigation along with the interim anticipatory bail.

Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Pinjore Singh submits that petitioner has joined the investigation on AMANDEEP GOSAIN 2021.09.14 18:36 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRM-M-2771-2021 26.03.2021 and is no more required for further investigation in the case.

In view of aforesaid factual position, the interim order dated 22.03.2021 is made absolute. Petitioner shall keep on joining the investigation as and when required to do so and he shall abide by the conditions as envisaged under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.

Petition stands disposed of.
