***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J . (Oral) The petitioner has approached this Court seeking issuance of a direction to be issued to the police to conduct a fair inquiry in the matter in respect of which he had also submitted a representation dated 19.9.2023 (Annexure P-5).

Learned State counsel upon whom an advance copy had been served has put in appearance and upon instructions from ASI Gurdeep Singh has informed that the matter was inquired into and was found to be false and has been consigned to the record.

In view of the aforesaid position, this Court does not find any ground for issuance of any direction. The petition stands disposed of accordingly.
