**** MANJARI NEHRU KAUL, J. (Oral) Petitioners have filed this writ petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of directions to the official respondents to protect their life and liberty from respondents No. 4 to 10. On the last date of hearing while issuing notice of motion, learned State counsel was directed to find out the existence of alleged threat. Learned State counsel on instructions has apprised this Court that a fabricated story has been brought-forth in the petition in question. In fact, there exists no threat perception to the life and liberty of the petitioners and the averments made in paragraph 15 of the petition, has been found to be incorrect. Faced with this situation, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the instant petition may be disposed of, in the light of the statement made by learned State counsel in Court today.
