Mr. Gurmeet Singh, Advocate for the petitioners. NAMIT KUMAR J. (Oral) Prayer in this writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondents to declare the result of the petitioners for the post of Firemen held from 18.10.2023 to 23.10.2023, whereby the petitioners stand qualified in the written test and physical measurement and efficiency test as well as have appeared in counselling on 22.11.2023.

Since no such demand notice has been given by the petitioners to the authorities concerned, therefore, no mandamus can be issued in the absence of such demand notice.

Faced with this situation, learned counsel for the petitioners wishes to withdraw the present petition with liberty to the petitioners to approach the authorities concerned for redressal of their grievances at an first instance.
