This writ petition has been filed seeking quashing of letter of intent vide memo No.DMG/HY/CONT/Sukhdarshanpur Block/PKL B-13/2018 issued in favour of respondent No.4-M/s Shiv Enterprises for mining of boulder, gravel and sand at the designated site for a period of seven years. Learned counsel for the State while referring to short reply on behalf of respondents No.1, 2 and 3 by way of affidavit dated 24.03.2023 of Mr. Om Dutt, Mining Officer, Mines and Geology Department, Haryana, submits that this writ petition is rendered infructuous as the license has been surrendered. CWP No.1106 of 2022 2023:PHHC:047255-DB -2further informed that FIR No.358 dated 28.07.2022 has been registered against respondent No.4 and that no mining activity has taken place after 31.05.2022. Short reply on behalf of respondents No.1, 2 and 3 is taken on record subject to just exceptions.

Though, learned counsel for the petitioners has sought to raise the question of damages etc., we are of the considered opinion that the same are not within the ambit of these proceedings and no useful purpose shall be served by continuation of present proceedings.

In view of the developments as detailed in short reply dated 24.03.2023 on behalf of respondents No.1, 2 and 3, this writ petition is disposed of as infructuous.
