The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to issue emergency travel document to enable him to visit India to face trial. 2.

The petitioner is a resident of Jalandhar, however, at present is staying in Spain. The petitioner has been implicated in FIR No. 99 dated 22.06.2013, under Sections 406, 420 of IPC and Section 24 of Immigration Act, 1983, registered at Police Station Shahpur, District Jalandhar. The passport of the petitioner was lost on 04.05.2022. The petitioner wants to come to India to face trial.

CWP No. 926 of 2024 -2- 2024:PHHC:005237 cannot be issued to the petitioner, however, emergency certificate/travel document would be issued within six weeks from the date of application, if any, filed by the petitioner.
