The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents to issue him passport.

Counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that the petitioner applied for passport vide application dated 13.01.2023. The police has already conducted inquiry and no criminal case is pending against the petitioner.

Mr. Ashutosh Dhankar, counsel for Union of India submits that application of the petitioner is under active consideration and it would be disposed of within six weeks from today.

In the wake of statement of counsel for Union of India, the petition stands disposed of.
