Prayer in the instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been made for quashing FIR No. 147 dated 22.12.2018 (Annexure P-1) registered under Sections 384, 382, 342, 420, 506 and 120-B IPC at Police Station City Fazilka, District Fazilka and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise dated 31.08.2019 (Annexure P-2) effected in between the parties. Pursuant to orders dated 20.01.2020 of this Court, the parties appeared before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Fazilka, on 20.02.2020 to get their statements recorded. CRM-M-2379-2020 -2According to the report, learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Fazilka, is satisfied that compromise effected between the parties is voluntary, without any threat or undue influence. In compliance of order dated 20.01.2020, original receipt regarding deposit of costs of `20,000/- has also been produced in Court today. The same is taken on record. Be tagged at appropriate place. Considering the report of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Fazilka, dated 24.02.2020 and deposit of costs as well as the fact that the compromise will bring peace and harmony between the parties, aforesaid FIR No. 147 dated 22.12.2018 (Annexure P-1) and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, are quashed, qua the petitioners only. Registry is directed to verify deposit of aforesaid costs, with the concerned quarter.
