Petitioner has filed this petition under Article 227 of the Constitution of India challenging the order dated 27.11.2014 (Annexure P-1) whereby respondent No. 1 was allowed to amend the election petition.

I have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and have gone through the record available on the file carefully. Respondent No. 1 filed the petition alleging that the election of the petitioner as Sarpanch of village Hazi Khanpur, be set aside. During the pendency of the petition, respondent No. 1 moved an application that the father's name of the elected candidate Balbir Singh had been wrongly mentioned as Sardul Singh whereas the elected candidate Balbir Singh was son of Surjit Singh. During the course of arguments, it has transpired that the petitioner had been duly served and was pursuing the petition before filing of the application for amendment of the election GURPREET SINGH 2015.04.20 12:36 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

Civil Revision No. 2568 of 2015 -2petition. Since the amendment sought by respondent No. 1 was a clerical one, the learned Tribunal had rightly allowed the application for amendment of the election petition. No ground for interference by this Court is made out. Dismissed.
