This is a petition seeking direction to respondents No. 2 and 3 to complete the investigation in FIR No. 1064 dated 10.11.2018, under Sections 405, 406, 420 IPC, registered at Police Station Thanesar City, District Kurukshetra in a time-bound manner. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is 83 years old and is an ex-army personnel; the FIR is dated 10.11.2018 but the investigation is not proceeding. Learned counsel for the State, appears on advance notice. On instructions from SI-Ram Pal, she submits that earlier a cancellation report was prepared in December, 2019 but thereafter the matter was sent for further investigation and the same is now complete. cancellation report would be filed. She has instructions to say that the report would be filed by 2.3.2021.
In view of the statement made by learned counsel for the State, no further directions are required in the present petition. The petition is disposed of.
Needless to say that the petitioner would be at liberty to avail remedies available in accordance with law against the cancellation report.
