The petitioner prays for issuance of a writ in the nature of ceritiorari to quash his transfer from Amritsar to Chandigarh. The petitioner claims that he is being repeatedly transferred. 2.

On a Court question, the learned counsel representing the petitioner admits that the petitioner belongs to Amritsar and he remained posted there for a period of 41⁄2 years during different intervals. The transfer of an employee is an incident of service. It appears that the petitioner has been making efforts to remain posted in Amritsar which cannot be permitted by the concerned department.

Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, no ground is made out to issue a writ. Hence, the present writ petition is dismissed. (Anil Kshetarpal) Judge January 17, 2023 "DK"
