Petitioners have filed this writ petition under Article 226 Constitution of India for issuance of directions to respondent Nos.2 and 3 to protect their life and liberty from respondent Nos.4 to 9, who are against the marriage of the petitioners.
On 22.01.2021, learned State counsel sought time to verify the existence of alleged threat.
Reply by way of affidavit of Jatinder Jit Singh, PPS, DSP, Jagraon, District Ludhiana (Rural), has been filed by learned State counsel along with the joint statement of the petitioners (Annexure R-1/T), who stated that they do not apprehend any danger from respondents No.4 to 9.
