The present petition has been filed inter alia praying for issuance of writ in the nature of Mandamus for seeking directions to respondents No. 2 & 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner from the hands of private respondents No. 7 & 8 and for issuing directions to respondents No. 3 to file the status report and further restraining the respondents from conducting re-enquiry in the matter. 2.
As per the reply filed by the State, the cancellation report in the said FIR has been filed before the competent Court which has been objected to by the petitioner and the petitioner is pursuing his remedy available under law.

Without prejudice to the rights of the petitioner, the present petition stands disposed of.

Needless to say that the State is duty bound to protect the life and liberty of all its citizens and no specific order qua the same is required to be passed.
