Through the instant petition, as instituted under Section 482 of the Cr.P.C., the petitioner seeks quashing of FIR No.242 dated 01.06.2018 (Annexure P-1), registered at P.S. Kurukshetra University, District Kurukshetra, along with all consequential proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of Compromise Deed dated 21.07.2023 (Annexure P-5).

At the very outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that since the validity of the passport of the petitioner, who is currently residing abroad, has expired, therefore, he is unable to return to India to pursue the instant petition. Consequently, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the present petition at this stage, however, with liberty to re-access this Court, on the same cause of action, at a subsequent stage.
