The petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.80 dated 28.12.2016 registered for the offences under Sections 420 and 120-B IPC at Police Station Division Khilchian, District Amritsar.

Notice of motion was issued in this case.

Mr. Dhruv Dayal, learned Senior Deputy Advocate General, Punjab has appeared on behalf of the respondent-State and have gone through the record.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned State counsel and have gone through the record. From the record, I find that Jobanjit Singh-complainant filed HARPAL SINGH PARMAR 2019.02.08 16:45 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

Cr. Misc. No.M-2148 of 2019 [2] the complaint to the Police for committing fraud of `19,80,000/- by the accused. The present petitioner is named in the FIR. It is specifically mentioned that he along with other co-accused Lokesh Masih and Simranjit Kaur committed the cheating on the ground of inducing the complainant to grant the job to him, his brother and son of his maternal uncle etc. The petitioner is named in the FIR. He is required for custodial interrogation. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the present case, nature and gravity of the offences and the fact that the petitioner is named in the FIR and there are also allegations against him along with other co-accused regarding cheating and the fact that he is required for custodial interrogation, I do not find it a fit case where the petitioner is entitled for the grant of anticipatory bail.

Therefore, finding no merit in this petition, the same is dismissed.
