Petitioner seeks grant of regular bail in a case registered vide FIR No.657 dated 22.10.2016 under Sections 379-B, 34 of IPC at Police Station Civil Lines, District Amritsar.
The allegations are broadly to the effect that 5 persons had snatched a mobile phone, a gold chain, a purse and motorcycle of the complainant.
The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the complainant Ram Gopal, while in the witness box, did not support the case of the prosecution and categorically stated that he does not identify the accused present in the Court. The learned counsel for the petitioner has shown certified copy of statement of PW-1 Ram Gopal recorded before the trial Court.
In view of the aforestated position wherein the complainant has already resiled, in my opinion, no useful purpose will be served by further KAMAL KUMAR 2019.02.21 10:35 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
