Respondent No.2, Chhinder Singh had filed an election petition on 15.7.2013 along with his affidavit and grounds mentioned therein. The petitioner filed an application for rejecting election petition as it was not filed as per the requirements of Punjab State Election Commission Act, 1994. The said application has been dismissed vide impugned order.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had specifically challenged the election petition, inter alia, on the ground that the election petition was neither signed nor it was filed by respondent No.2. Vide impugned order the said objections have been dismissed.

CR-3027-2015 (O&M) dismissal of the election petition has been sought can be considered at the time of final disposal of the election petition.
