"This is the petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for seeking directions to respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the lives and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of private respondents.
It is noticed by this Court that both the petitioners and respondents No. 4 to 8 are permanent residence of V.P.O Gaur Dayampur, District Hardoi (UP). There is nothing attached with the petition to justify their residences in the State of Haryana, Punjab or U.T.
Adjourned to 30.01.2023.
Meanwhile, counsel for the petitioners will place on record some evidence to show prima facie that they are residents of State of Haryana, Punjab or U.T and if so, since when, and learned State counsel may also verify the said aspect."
