The counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner and his friend-Jaskaran Singh were assaulted by respondents No.4 to 11 who caused injuries to both of them and in this regard representation (Annexure P-3) was given to the respondent No.2 but the police authorities failed to take any action in this regard. 2.

Counsel for the petitioner while restricting his arguments, submits that the petitioner would be satisfied if necessary direction is issued to the respondent No.2 to do the needful, in accordance with law in a time bound manner on the basis of representation dated 01.12.2023 (Annexure P-3).

Mr. Jaiteshwar S. Bhandari, AAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the State and submitted that the concerned authority will look into the pending representation(s) if any filed by the petitioner and will take appropriate action, in accordance with law. 5.

Counsel for the petitioner is agreed to the aforesaid proposal. 6.

In view of above and without going into the merits of the case, the present petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2 to consider and decide representation dated 01.12.2023(Annexure P-3), in accordance with law within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
