The petitioners through the instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India are seeking protection of their lives and liberty from the hands of private respondents. The petitioners are further seeking registration of FIR against private respondents. 2.
Learned State counsel pointing out State reply dated 08.03.2021 submits that police had conducted thorough investigation and FIR No. 87 dated 08.08.2019 under Sections 451, 323, 341, 506 IPC has been registered against the petitioners at Police Station Bhadson Tehsil Nabha District Patiala.

On being confronted with aforesaid fact, learned counsel for the petitioners states that he may be permitted to approach trial court to avail remedies as permissible by law and lives and liberty of PARAMJIT KAUR SAINI 2023.05.26 18:17 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

State is duty bound to protect lives and liberty of its citizens, thus, jurisdictional police authorities would look into representation of the petitioners as and when filed by the petitioners seeking protection of their lives and liberty. The petitioners are further at liberty to approach trial court for their grievances. 5.
