The petitioner prays for grant of pre-arrest bail in a criminal case arising from the FIR No. 85 dated 08.07.2017, registered under Section 379,411,473 & 420 IPC, at Police Station Sadar Bathinda, District Bathinda. 2.

The petitioner alleges that he was granted the concession of bail, however, due to his absence from attending the hearing of the case on 25.09.2019, the non-bailable warrants of his arrest were ordered to be issued. This petition has been filed in the month of January, 2022. The petitioner has evaded his arrest for a period of more than two years. 3.

The learned counsel representing the petitioner contends that the petitioner was misled by his counsel in the trial court and due to the spread of COVID-19, he could not attend the hearing. 4.

Criminal Misc. No. M-2787 of 2022 ground is made out to grant the concession of pre-arrest bail to the petitioner. If the petitioner surrenders before the trial Court within a period of one week from today and files an application for grant of bail, the trial Court will decide the same within a period of ten days, thereafter. 5.

With the observations made above, the present petition is disposed of.
