*** MANOJ BAJAJ, J.(ORAL) By filing the present petition under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the petitioner has sought anticipatory bail in FIR No.232 dated 13.12.2018, under Section 406 of the Indian Penal Code ('IPC' - for short), registered at Police Station, Nihal Singh Wala, District Moga. On 17.01.2019, this Court had passed the following order:- "Heard. The learned counsel for petitioner contends that it was a case of purchase of machine. Petitioner was asked to supply said machine. However, due to political pressure, a case has been registered. Notice of motion.

On behalf of State, Mr. Karanbir Singh, AAG Punjab, accepts notice. Copy of petition be supplied to learned State counsel during course of day. Reply be filed before next date of hearing.

Adjourned to 18.2.2019.

In the meanwhile, petitioner is directed to supply information alongwith documents to police. Police is Sheetal Gawri 2019.04.12 14:30 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that in pursuance of the order dated 17.01.2019, the petitioner has joined the investigation. Learned State counsel, on instructions from ASI Harpal Singh submits that the petitioner has joined the investigation and he is not required for custodial interrogation.

In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the interim bail granted by this Court vide order dated 17.01.2019, is made absolute.

The petition stands allowed.
