The petition filed under Section 13(B) of the East Punjab Urban Rent Restriction Act, 1949 is sought to be amended to include a prefix 'Sri' to Dasmesh Academy Trust. At the same time when the amendment was brought, the petitioner has also filed a copy of the passport. The contention was that the document cannot be received along with the application for amendment. The Court has allowed the amendment to take place and taken on record the additional document. 2.

I will find that there is simply no justification for tenant to arrive at this Court to complain about the order. The petitioner will be at liberty to file an amended written statement or an additional written statement to traverse any of the contentions brought by means of amendment and the same will be received as part of the application seeking for leave to defend brought by the petitioner before the Court below.

With these observations, the order already passed is maintained and the civil revision is disposed of. I decline to make any intervention on the plea made by the counsel that copy of passport which was filed subsequently ought not to be received. If the same has been received, I find no tenable objection by a party to contend that the said document ought not to be received.
