*** Ritu Bahri, J. (Oral) Petitioner is seeking issuance of direction to the respondent Nos. 1 to 3 to provide the drainage system along side NH2 from Escorts Corporate Corporation Office, 15/5 Mathura Road, Faridabad to near Metro Pillar Number 630, Faridabad, where no permanent drainage system provided by respondent No. 1 during construction of NH No. 2 which results in flooding of water in area up to 7-8 feet's in height residential houses in HUDA, Sector 28 Faridabad.

In this regard, petitioner had given detail legal notice dated 26.08.2020 (P-6) and pursuant to this legal notice, NHAI wrote a letter dated 30.12.2020 (P-7) to Executive Engineer, M.C, Old Faridabad and clarified that the ultimate drainage system is to be provided by the local civil authority and not by NHAI. The storm water of National Highway is being properly drained through culvert to the green belt along with National Highway for the last more than 30 years.

In view of letter dated 30.12.2020 (P-7), the present petition stands disposed of by giving direction to respondent Nos 2 and 3 to pass GAURAV ARORA 2021.01.28 14:32 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh
