*** ANIL KSHETARPAL, J (Oral) The hearing of the case was held through video conferencing on account of restricted functioning of the Courts. Seema, the petitioner (wife) prays for transfer of the file of HMA/1749/2020 (Sandeep Kumar vs. Seema) pending in the Court of Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Amritsar, to the Court of competent jurisdiction at Ropar.

It has been stated that the marriage between the parties was solemnized on 25.04.2016. However, due to various reasons, the petitioner came back and started living with her parents at village Lasari Post Office Nurpur Bedi, District Ropar. It is claimed that the distance between Amritsar and Ropar is 180 kms. She further states that she is dependent upon her parents and has no source of income.

As per the office report, notice issued to the respondent has been served through trial Court counsel. However, he has chosen not to enter appearance.

TA-60-2021 (O&M) Keeping in view the aforesaid facts, the petition is allowed. The file of HMA/1749/2020 (Sandeep Kumar Vs. Seema) pending in the Court of Additional Principal Judge, Family Court, Amritsar, is ordered to be transferred to the Court of competent jurisdiction at Ropar. The transferor Court is requested to remit the case file to the transferee Court forthwith. The petitioner is directed to appear before the District Judge, Ropar, on 22.09.2021 who shall either decide the matter himself or assign it to the Court of competent jurisdiction at Ropar.

All the pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, are also disposed of.
