C.R. No.378 of 2016 -1IN THE HIGH COURT FOR THE STATES OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA AT CHANDIGARH C.R. No.378 of 2016 Date of Decision.21.01.2016 Shingara Singh .......Petitioner Vs.

Punjab State Power Corporation Limited and others ........Respondents

Present:

Mr. Satyaveer Singh, Advocate for the petitioner.

CORAM:HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE K. KANNAN 1.

Whether Reporters of local papers may be allowed to see the judgment ?

2.

To be referred to the Reporters or not ?

3.

Whether the judgment should be reported in the Digest? -.- K. KANNAN J. (ORAL) 1.

The revision petition is against the order allowing an appeal to be filed condoning the delay of three months in preferring the appeal. The objection taken is that there are five parties and there was no justification at all for all of them not to take steps. The contention that they were not aware of the order was not true and the judgment itself had been passed in their presence.

2.

The learned counsel refers me to the judgment of the Supreme Court in P.K. Ramachandran Vs. State of Kerala 1997(7) SCC 556 and a decision of this Court in Jaswant Singh Vs. Assistant Registrar, Co-op. Societies 2000(3) PLR 83. I do not think I must be fettered by any decision in this regard, for the issue of condonation of delay is essentially a matter of discretion and if the Court has exercised it, I will find no reason for interfering with the same.
