******* SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) This order shall dispose of both the revision petition captioned above arising out of the same order.

Heard.

These revision petitions are against order dated 14.5.2015 passed by the Rent Controller, Amritsar whereby defense of revision petitioner was struck off for not filing written statement even after expiry of more than one year. Learned counsel for respondent-landlord submits that proceedings before the Rent Controller have been stayed for the last about three years. The petitioner has wrongly produced typed copy of order dated 14.5.2015 in the paper book. In fact on that day learned counsel for Deepak Kumar 2018.02.22 10:33 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Civil Revision No. 3794 of 2015 & Civil Revision No. 3804 of 2015 -2petitioner was present in the Court and could not advance any reason for not filing reply even after expiry of a period of more than one year after revision petitioner had put in appearance in Court. In order to avoid further delay in disposal of his petition, he has no objection if the revision petition is allowed subject to payment of costs.

In view of the submissions of learned counsel for respondentlandlord, these revision petitions are allowed subject to payment of `5,000/- each as costs by petitioner. On payment of costs, he will be allowed one adjournment only by the Rent Controller for filing written statement. On payment of costs and filing of written statement, Rent Controller will proceed further in the matter in accordance with law. Keeping in view the fact that this petition pertains to the year 2014 and is still at the initial stage, Rent Controller is directed to expedite the proceedings and dispose of the same at the earliest preferably within a period of nine months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
