The instant writ petition embodies a prayer for quashing the order dated 25.11.2024 (Annexure P-1), whereby, the respondent No.2 has ordered to detain the petitioner under the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1988 (hereinafter referred to as the 'Act of 1988').

The impugned detention order can be assailed before the Advisory Board, as constituted under Section 9 of the Act of 1988. 3.

The learned State counsel, who is in receipt of advance notice, also informs this Court that, the Advisory Board has already issued notice to the petitioner for 21.01.2025. Hence, the petitioner can raise his grievance against the impugned detention order before the Advisory Board.
