Mr. Amjad Khan, Advocate, for respondent No.2. RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) In compliance of order dated 23.01.2020, learned counsel for the petitioners has produced receipts of `20,017.70. The same are taken on record. Registry is directed to verify the deposit of costs by the petitioners with the concerned quarter.
Prayer in the instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been made for quashing FIR No.97 dated 18.04.2019 registered under Sections 323, 147, 148, 149 IPC at Police Station East Sector 26, Chandigarh, and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise (Annexure P-2) arrived at between the parties. Pursuant to order dated 23.01.2020 of this Court, the parties appeared before learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chandigarh, on 04.02.2020 to get their statements recorded. Learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Chandigarh, has submitted his report vide letter RAVINDER SINGH 2020.02.17 12:17 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
-2CRM-M-2924 of 2020 bearing No.ACJM-AHL-2020/116 dated 07.02.2020, duly forwarded by learned District and Sessions Judge, Sri Muktsar Sahib, vide Endst. No.DSJ-EC-2020/1019 dated 10.02.2020.
According to the above report, compromise arrived at between the parties is genuine and without any pressure or coercion from any side. Therefore, in view of above and the fact that the compromise will bring peace and harmony between the parties, FIR No.97 dated 18.04.2019 registered under Sections 323, 147, 148, 149 IPC at Police Station East Sector 26, Chandigarh, and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, are quashed.
Disposed of accordingly.
