This is a petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for issuance of a direction to respondent No.3 not to harass, humiliate, torture and pressurize the petitioners by giving threats to produce Shelly Kumar son of Arjan Dass (against whom FIR No.0343 dated 11.12.2021 under Sections 307, 302, 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 read with Sections 25/27 of the Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Division 'B', Amritsar) before the investigating agency. CRM-M-No.3493 of 2022 -2On the asking of the Court, Mr. H.S. Multani, AAG Punjab has joined the session through video conferencing and accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

Learned State counsel, on instructions from ACP (East) Abhumanyu Rana, IPS, has stated that the petitioners are not being called as they are not required for any investigation. However, Shelly Kumar, son of the petitioner Nos.1 and 2 against whom the aforesaid FIR No.0343 dated 11.12.2021 has been registered, is absconding and for that purpose some raids have to be conducted.

Learned counsel for the petitioners' states that the petitioners have no objection to the raids as that is a part of the process of law. In view of the statement made by learned counsel for the State, learned counsel for the petitioners does not wish to press the present petition at this stage.

Dismissed as not pressed at this stage.
