NIDHI GUPTA, J. (ORAL) Prayer in the present 1st petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is for issuance of appropriate directions to official respondents No. 2 and 3 to complete the investigation in FIR No. 146 dated 04.12.2018 registered under Sections 406 and 498A IPC at Police Station Women, District Police Commissionerate, Ludhiana (Annexure P-1) against the private respondents and forward to a Magistrate as per Section 173(2)(i) of Cr.P.C. empowered to take cognizance of the offence on a police report. Learned counsel for the State points out that the petitioner before this Court is the complainant. As per the allegations made in the FIR (Annexure P-1), the daughter of the petitioner was married to the respondent No.4 on 20.04.2016; and it has been alleged that after one month of marriage, the accused-respondents deserted the daughter of the petitioner and returned to America; whereafter, the present FIR was registered by the petitioner.

CRM-M-3015-2023 (O&M) -2 - On instructions from ASI Davinder Pal Singh, learned State Counsel further informs this Court that the accused/respondents No.4 to 6 herein have not been arrested so far as all of them are residing abroad. However, proceedings under Section 105 Cr.P.C. have been initiated against them and even proclamation proceedings have been initiated by the learned trial Court.

Heard.

In view of the above submissions made by learned counsel for the State, no further directions are required to be issued in the present matter.

The present petition stands disposed of.
