The petition has been filed, inter alia, seeking a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the petitioners for promotion to the post of Sub-Divisional Clerk by taking a final decision on the memo dated 4.10.2022, Annexure P-6.

Learned counsel for the petitioners contends that the petition may be disposed of by directing the second respondent to proceed and take appropriate action on the impugned memo dated 4.10.2022, in accordance with law.

Learned State counsel submits that appropriate decision will be taken in due course by the second respondent/Engineer-in-Chief, Public Health Engineering Department, within a period of three months from the date of receiving a certified copy of this order. 4.

In view of the statement made by learned State counsel, the petition stands disposed of.
