Dated Police Station Sections 10-7-2020 Singh Bhagwantpur 341, 323, 506, 149 of IPC The petitioner(s), arraigned as accused in the above captioned FIR/DDR, has come up before this Court under Section 482 CrPC for quashing of the DDR and all consequential proceedings based on the compromise with the victim(s). 2.

During the pendency of the petition, the accused and the victim(s) have compromised the matter, and its copy is annexed with this petition. 3.

After that, the petitioner(s) came up before this Court to quash the FIR, and in the quashing petition, the victim(s) have been impleaded as respondent(s). 4.

On 7-3-2022, the victim/ complainant Sukhpreet Singh, the respondent no. 2 stated before the JMIC Rupnagar that there would be no objection if the court quashes this DDR no. 20 in FIR No. 64 dated 10-7-2020 and consequent proceedings. As per the concerned court's report dated 14-3-2022, the parties consented to the quashing of FIR and consequent proceedings without any threat.

A perusal of the DDR reveals that complainant Sukhpreet Singh (R-2) had specifically stated that the petitioners had also given beatings to his sister Rupinder Kaur and his uncle. A perusal of the petition reveals that neither Rupinder Kaur nor her uncle were made party as respondents. Furthermore, their statements were not recorded regarding their no objection to the compromise.

Given above, the petition is dismissed. However, liberty is reserved to the petitioners to file a fresh petition after taking no objection of Rupinder Kaur and his uncle to the compromise. It is clarified that in case a fresh petition is filed then there would be no need to again record the statement of complainant Sukhpreet Singh (R-2) as well as the accused/petitioners. It shall be sufficient to refer to the photocopies of the statements recorded in this petition which is suffice for the purpose of the new petition.
