HARSIMRAN SINGH SETHI, J.(ORAL) In the present writ petition, the grievance which is being raised by the petitioner is that the petitioner has moved an application on 10.10.2019, filed under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007, which is pending before respondent No.1, which according to the petitioner is not being decided by respondent No.1 and the delay is causing prejudice to the petitioner. The prayer of the petitioner is for issuance of a direction to respondent No.1 to decide the application dated 10.10.2019 (Annexure P-3) by passing an appropriate speaking order. Learned counsel for the respondents submits that he has the instructions from respondent No.1 that the next date fixed in the application pending before respondent No.1 filed by the petitioner dated 10.10.2019 (Annexure P-3) is 07.10.2020 and either on the said date or within a period of two weeks thereafter, the said application will be disposed of by NARESH KUMAR 2020.09.28 17:50 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

CWP-1487-2020 respondent No.1 by passing an appropriate speaking order on the claim which is being raised by the petitioner in the said application. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in view of the undertaking given on behalf of respondent No.1, recorded above, the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed and he does not wish to press this petition any further.

In view of the above, the present writ petition is disposed of as not pressed.

It is made clear that while passing the order, respondent No.1 will also hear all the parties, who are likely to be effected by the said decision including respondent No.4 who has been impleaded in the present petition.

As the main case is disposed of, CM-8739-CWP-2020 has become infructuous.
