Instant petition has been filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a direction to the official respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner. During the course of arguments, counsel for the petitioner has restricted his prayer for issuance of direction to respondent No.2 to consider the representation dated 19.01.2021 (Annexure P-4) expeditiously. Without adverting to the merits of the petitioner's allegations at this stage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to Senior Superintendent of Police, Moga-respondent No.2 to consider the representation dated 19.01.2021 (Annexure P-4) and thereafter, to take appropriate steps as warranted, in accordance with law.
