The petitioner seeks issuance of directions to respondents No.2 to 4 to protect her life and liberty as well as of other members of her family as they apprehend threat to the same at the hands of private respondents No.5 to 12. 2.

The petitioner also seeks issuance of directions to respondents No.2 to 4 to consider and decide the representation/complaint dated 5.1.2024 (Annexure P-1).

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner's husband namely Harjit Singh was inflicted injuries by Harinder Singh and his son on 3.12.2023. Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner and without commenting anything as regards merits of the case or as regards veracity of averments made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed off with a direction to respondent No.3 - Senior Superintendent of Police (Rural), District Amritsar to look into the matter and to get the representation dated 5.1.2024 (Annexure P-1) examined qua the alleged threat perception of the petitioner as well as of other members of her family. In case, it is found that there is any genuine threat to the life and liberty of the petitioner or to other members of her family, then necessary steps as may be warranted under law be taken thereupon at the earliest so as to ensure that no harm is caused to the petitioner or to other members of her family in any manner. 5.
