**** HARNARESH SINGH GILL , J. (ORAL) The petitioner is seeking regular bail in FIR No. 222 dated 24.11.2019 under Section 20 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 registered at Police Station Sadar Patiala, District Patiala.
Custody certificate by way of affidavit of Baljeet Singh, Deputy Superintendent, Central Prison, Patiala has been filed which is taken on record.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that 51⁄2 Kilograms grams of ganja was allegedly recovered from the petitioner which falls under the non-commercial quantity and he has been in custody since 28.11.2019.

CRM-M No. 2539 of 2020 -2for the last 01 month and 25 days. The trial will take time to conclude. No useful purpose would be served by keeping the petitioner behind the bars. Without commenting anything on the merits of the case, the petition is allowed and the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his furnishing bail/surety bonds to the satisfaction of the trial Court/Duty Magistrate.
