**** HARKESH MANUJA, J. (ORAL) The petitioners, by way of present petition, seek issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus for directing respondent Nos 2 & 3 to release the entire compensation alongwith statutory benefits in lieu of their acquired land.

[2] Learned State Counsel, on instructions from Ms. Damandeep Kaur, PCS, SDM, Mohali, submits that the amount of compensation payable to the petitioners alongwith interest upto 14th May, 2023 stands deposited in their accounts. He also assures that with respect to the remaining amount i.e. from 15th May, 2023 onwards, the deposit shall be made within next fifteen days.

C.W.P. No. 1321 of 2023 (O&M) [2] [3] In view of the above assurance / undertaking, learned counsel for the petitioners does not press the present petition any further. [4] Disposed of accordingly.

[5] In case of any default, the petitioners shall be at liberty to seek revival of the present petition and the respondent-State of Punjab would be saddled with costs of litigation.

[6] Pending miscellaneous application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed off.
