M.M.S. BEDI, J (ORAL) Counsel for the petitioner submits that despite a direction issued on 5.9.2014, the election petition which was filed on 23.7.2015, has not been decided. It is submitted that the petition is at the stage of recording of the evidence of the respondents and that more than ten opportunities have already been granted to the respondents.

This petition is disposed of with a direction to the Tribunal, in the exercise of supervisory jurisdiction, that in case an application is filed by the petitioner in the light of directions already issued by this Court on 5.9.2014, the Tribunal shall consider the same and make earnest endeavour to conclude the proceedings within three months after filing of the said application.
