HARINDER SINGH SIDHU, J Praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus, the petitioner has come up in this petition for appointment of a Warrant Officer to search for the detenues as mentioned in para 4 of the petition at the premises of respondent No.4-Ravi, owner of a Brick Kiln. Upon notice, a report by way of affidavit 09.02.2022 of the SDM, Phillaur, District Jalandhar has been filed wherein it is deposed that in compliance of the order passed by this Court, the Deputy Commissionercum-District Magistrate, Jalandhar issued directions to the deponent for making inquiry in respect of the allegations. The deponent constituted a team comprising of Naib Tehsildar-cum-Executive Magistrate, Goraya, S.H.O, Nurmahal, Labour Inspector, Phillaur, A.S.F.O Goraya and D.C.P.

O, Goraya and directed the Naib Tehsildar, Goraya to take action. The Naib Tehsildar, Goraya visited the spot on 29.01.2022 along with Labour Inspector, Goraya, A.F.S.O, Goraya, A.S.I Sanjeev Kumar, P.S Nurmahal and the D.C.P.O at the brick kiln situated at village Badhala, Tehsil Phillaur MANOJ KUMAR 2022.04.

CRWP No.712 of 2022 #2# and after making inquiry, submitted a report dated 04.02.2022. As per the said report submitted by the Naib Tehsildar, Goraya, S/Sh/Smt Pali, Sonu, Sunita, Manoj, Sunita, Manoj, Pitami, Dharminder son of Pali, Dharminder son of Pali, Parmod, Ankit, Sonu and Babli were found present at the spot except for the petitioner-Manoj Kumar. All of them jointly stated that they came to the brick kiln for doing work and that they were not being harassed by the owner of the brick kiln and that all were being paid for the work by the owner and that no case of bounded labour has been found.

In the wake of the report, nothing survives in this petition and the same is disposed of as such.
