*** The case has been taken up through Video Conferencing. Custody certificate filed by the State counsel be taken on record. The accused had jumped bail during trial in the Court of Sessions Judge, Kapurthala and was declared a proclaimed offender vide order dated 6.4.2015. He is stated to have been arrested on 7.11.2020 i.e. after a period of 5 years of his having been declared a proclaimed offender. Now he appears to be very eager to come out of jail by taking one plea or the other some time approaching the Court for release on bail on medical grounds at other time taking plea of slow process in the trial and he being behind bars for about eight months. On being enquired the State counsel has informed that petitioner is involved in two more criminal cases This is so reflected in the custody certificate also. Though learned counsel for the petitioner has contended that the petitioner is on bail in those case.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner states that he be permitted to withdraw the present petition.
