***** SUDHIR SINGH J. (ORAL) Petition herein is, inter alia, for issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus directing respondent No.4 to conduct the election of Karyawahak Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat, Village Isharhari, Block Barwala, District Hisar, in view of provisions of Section 51(6) of the Haryana Panchayati Raj Act, 1994.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that despite the dates being fixed twice, for conducting the election, the same has not been done so far. It is further submitted that the election in question is being delayed without any justified cause.

On advance service of copy of petition, learned State counsel
CWP-1578-2024 -2appears and accepts notice on behalf of the respondents-State. He submits that the competent authority shall take decision either way, by treating the instant writ petition as a representation.

Learned counsel for the petitioner does not have any objection to the aforesaid course of action. However, he submits that the competent authority be directed to decide the representation within a time bound manner.

Without commenting on merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the competent authority to look into the grievance of petitioner as raised in the present writ petition by treating the same as representation and pass an appropriate order, in accordance with law, within a period of 04 weeks from the date of receipt of copy/production of this order.

All the pending application(s), if any, shall also stand disposed of.
