RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J.(ORAL) Petitioner has approached this Court praying for issuance of direction to official respondents to act in accordance with law and to protect and reclaim the 'Panchayat Ghar' encroached by private respondents and to forebear respondents No.6 to 9 from encroaching upon the Panchayat Ghar situated within the revenue estate of village Majra, District Pathankot. It is further prayed to direct the official respondents to decide the representations moved by the petitioner and other residents of the village, Annexures P-2 to P-4.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that petitioner and other villagers have filed representation/complaint, dated 09.10.2023 but the same has not been decided till date.

Notice of motion to official respondents only at this stage. On asking of the Court, Ms.Akshita Chauhan, DAG, Punjab, who is present in Court, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents/State. After hearing the learned counsel for the parties, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2, i.e. District Development and Panchayat Officer, Pathankot, to look into the representation/complaint, dated 09.10.2023, Annexure P-3, and decide the same expeditiously in accordance with law preferably within one month from today.
