Present petition has been filed under Section 528 of BNSS for issuance of any appropriate order or direction to the official respondents No.1 to 3 qua FIR No.143 dated 18.10.2025 registered under sections 109, 115(2), 191(3), 190, 351(3) of BNS and Sections 25 & 27 of Arms Act, at Police Station Jodhewal, to get it investigated through an independent agency or a higher ranking police officer.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that five months have since passed lodging of FIR, but no accused has been arrested till date, and accused is still threatening the complainant and other witnesses. Learned State counsel submitted that accused Sanjay, Sunita and Priya have been released on anticipatory bail by a competent Court and application of one accused, namely, Deepak, has been dismissed; however, two accused are at large and raid has been conducted 19 times to apprehend them. It is further submitted that the investigation is being conducted expeditiously and efforts have been made to arrest the accused and even got them declared proclaimed offender after moving an appropriate application. 4.

Keeping in view the contention raised by learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned State counsel, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3-Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, to expedite the investigation of the present case and to take necessary action which is required on the representation dated 11.12.2025 (Annexure P-3) in accordance with law.
