HARINDER SINGH SIDHU, J Prayer is for grant of regular bail in case FIR No.71 dated 05.07.2018 under Section 22 of the NDPS Act registered at P.S City Fazilka, District Fazilka.
As per allegations in the FIR, 71 strips of intoxicant tablets Mark Clovidol 100 SR (Tramadol Hydrochloride) containing 10 tablets each i.e total 710 tablets were found to be in possession of the petitioner. As per the FSL, the weight of the recovered contraband is 411.63 mg/Tablets while the average quantity of ingredient present i.e Tramadol Hydrochloride is 99.21 mg/Tablet.
The petitioner is stated to be in custody since 05.07.2018. The trial of the case has not made much headway because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Without commenting anything on the merits of the case and also bearing in mind the custody period, in my opinion, no useful purpose will be served by detaining the petitioner behind bars any further. The MANOJ KUMAR 2021.02.27 15:44 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
